Stanford, UCCS School Leader Orlando White
Based in Colorado, Orlando White is a former associate dean of Stanford University. Following his time at Stanford, he joined the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) as the associate director of Residence Life and Housing. He brings to this role nearly two decades of diverse experience at higher education institutions across the United States. Throughout his career, Orlando T. White has worked in the areas of student affairs, residential education, and community development. Regardless of his role, he remains passionate about creating welcoming environments for students, with a goal of facilitating higher learning and personal development.
From 2014 to 2020, Orlando T. White held the position of assistant director of residential education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He oversaw all co-curricular learning initiatives while serving in this role, while also managing student and staff recruitment, selection, and training efforts. His past appointments include residence life coordinator at the Art Institute of Philadelphia and building manager with the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
Mr. White studied mass communications at Colorado State University, Pueblo. He later returned to his alma mater in the role of hall director. He also holds a master of business administration from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. While studying public administration, he became a member of the Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society.
